what a short, hot and eventually wet wet wet vinyl picnic this was 💦😂🥳 ... it all started sooo (or too ;-) smooth despite being hot like shit 🥵🥵 when three of us met at the usual logistics center place at 13:00@wiesengreissler .. had waka already on board and our birthday friend jon also arrived on spot there

so unloading the Soundsystem from the van onto the (still the best) wagerl (on the planet) ... and we headed towards arenawiese with the first tranche of stuff (unfortunately no more helping hands yet)

and after some serious wheel issues on the bumpy / trial part of the route we were blessed by a prater bench waiting for us just 30 meter away from the dj spot 🤘🤘 ... awesomeness moment #1 for today ...

and after fetching the rest of the stuff including our vinyls we had the second awesomeness moment when we connected and started the sound system ... everything worked immediately exactly as we left it from last shutdown 🥳🤗 looks like it kept all the settings we painfully tried out for about half an hour last time ...

as we knew the weather could be a "factor" today and we were roughly 1 hour ahead of our scheduled beginning we just dropped the needle already at 1330 ... cactüs spinned a nice set of a journey from smooth french house over some 80iesh electro classics towards more recent electronic tunes ... followed by koe from nam am records who also played a plain beautiful set

having said this ... and having hooked up our recording device we were eager to listen to all those fantastic mixes later on ... but 🫣🫣🫣 again #spoiler ... I fucked it up once more by not studying the fucking manual well enough and just did not start the recording because I thought I did start it 😂😂😂 BUT the red LED needs to blink !!! and not just light ... shame on me ...

but this "small" glitch is forgotten at around 1530 where suddenly clouds became bigger and bigger and despite the more lax weather forecasts it quickly escalated into one of the heaviest thunderstorms and shitrains since decades ...

we tried our best to resist for some short time (25 years emissionen experience) but soon it was clear that we would kill risk and kill the new soundsystem if we would continue to spin below our tent which was not waterproof at all but at least somehow covered with an additional rain plastic "plane" - and big thaaaanx to franzi who came up with the genius idea to cut a small hole in the bottom of the müllsackerl to strip it over the eon one mk2 arrays to keep the soundsystem still running despite first rain ….

so around 1630 we took the decision to do an emergency shutdown and use a short time window when the rain is not so hard to drive the van into the prater and load all the stuff into it and escape the drowning spot ... escape #armageddon

all went fine, no one was hurt and the equipment was a bit wet but should not be harmed ... and the real wet stuff was dryer out next morning ...
